My Story
If you are looking for sterile, traditional childrens’ fairy tales, then I am sorry to disappoint you.
If however you are looking for something different, something weird and wacky, conceived in the mind of someone with more than a few screws loose and madder than the Mad Hatter himself;
Welcome. We have been expecting you.
My life changed since having a daughter. I know that it’s a cliche but you really have no idea until it happens.
My favourite time with her is when i’m reading her a story in the early night time hours, it’s like we are in our own little bubble universe, where everything is possible. We can visit far away lands together from the comfort of our bed.
I have always written poetry in my spare time, inbetween working, taking care of the house, chickens and various other animals in our menagerie. It suddenly occured to me…childrens’ books are poetry, just laid out and presented in a fun way!
Like a lightning bolt from Zeus himself, I was struck with inspiration. What if I could write books not just for the children, but for the parents to thoroughly enjoy reading aloud to them?
This is the basic premise for my writing, it may be a irreverent, quirky and a little cheeky, but I feel that if the parents truly enjoy the story that is being presented, then of course the children will have a better time too
